Super easy, super quick, super flavorful! I love that I know exactly what went into this and I can use organic ingredients while having the best tasting simple syrup.

You Will Need:

  • Heavy Bottomed Saucepan
  • Whisk
  • Measuring Cups & Spoons
  • Optional: Mason Jars for Storing

Ingredients:

  • Water – 1 cup (236 grams)
  • Sugar – 1 cup (201 grams)
  • Vanilla Bean Paste – 1 tablespoon (or 1 vanilla bean pod, scraped)

Directions:

Combine the water, sugar, and vanilla bean (paste) into the saucepan and stir together slightly. Place over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally until it comes to a boil. Let it boil very briefly before removing from heat. Allow to cool to room temp before storing in the refrigerator.

I always double this recipe! Once it’s cooled it can be stored in the fridge for a week or in the freezer for a couple weeks – just make sure to take it out of the freezer the night before you want to use it and let it thaw overnight in the fridge. *Tip: if storing in a mason jar, shake it up really good before using it, that way all the vanilla beans are spread throughout the syrup and not stuck at the bottom!
